Beware of the Ides of November….because you may get snow!!! UGH!!!!! I can’t believe that it is snowing. Now I know what you are thinking…how does this relate to travel? Well, dear readers, the answer is because I need to figure out how to travel the hell out of Chicago for any month that has an R in it…Don’t get me wrong, the summer here is beautiful…both days of it. But the winter is long, dark, and cold. I just can’t stand it.
I am going to see my son in Baltimore for Thanksgiving is next week. But, there is no real potential for better weather there. Since Sue is limited to travel during the school holidays, we are now looking at winter break. Where to go?
The flights everywhere are very expensive and we are reluctant to spend a small fortune to travel that isn’t on our prime travel list (South America, Asia and, of course, always Paris), but if we don’t then we are pushing our next trip out to spring break, which is the last week of March. I am not sure I am willing to wait that long. We could skip down to Florida and visit with my mother and some other family, but it isn’t necessarily all that warm then. (At least there will be no snow.)
I have no solutions at the moment, but with a little luck we will spend a few hours discussing and deciding over the weekend.
I think the best option is to visit your wonderful mother in Florida. For your information she cooks fabulous vegetarian meals and will throw in a steak or two!! Have consulted the weather angels and they are guaranting sunny and hot 😚😚😚😚😚😚
